Anita came off the bench to make his debut in the club’s 2-1 win over Tottenham Hotspur at the weekend, following his £6.6m deal last week.
Tim Krul: “Vurnon said straight away when he walked off the pitch he already felt he made a great decision looking at the fans and the full stadium.
“Vurnon’s an incredible talent – I’m so pleased we got him from Ajax.
“It was hard to get him out of that club, because he’s played there for 13 years. I know him from all the youth systems – I started from Under-13s onwards to Under-21s.
“I’ve played with him for many, many years – I think he’ll be the missing link, especially in Europe.
“We’ll play more from the back, and he’ll be a fantastic addition.”
