He was facing criminal charges after he chased and grabbed a teenager whom was throwing stones at his car, yet the police viewed HIM as the guilty party!

Wise faced questioning by police following an incident early on New Year's Day when his luxury car was pelted by a gang of youths.

Wise jumped out of his month-old Range Rover and caught and chased one teenager at around 1am in the Potternewton area of Leeds.

It was believed Wise could not hold on to the youngster when other youths intervened, and the then Leeds boss got back in his car.

The 41-year-old was travelling with his mother-in-law, his heavily pregnant wife Claire and their two young children.

They had been out for a meal in Leeds city centre.

Police were alerted by the family of a 13-year-old boy, who was believed to have been grabbed, and all parties were interviewed.

Police investigated an allegation of assault, and also criminal damage to the car.

No-one was arrested.

Neither the player nor the boy will now face further action.
