Midfielder Danny Guthrie failed to recover from a hamstring injury, while Fabricio Coloccini (hamstring), Steven Taylor (Achilles), Peter Lovenkrands (thigh), Leon Best, Sammy Ameobi (both knee) and Sylvain Marveaux (groin) remain sidelined.
