The winner of the PFA Vertu Motors Premier League Fans' Player of the Month - October

Newcastle United winger Miguel Almiron has been voted the PFA Vertu Motors Premier League Fans' Player of the Month for October.

The Paraguayan's rise has been one of the stories of the season so far, scoring eight goals in 15 league games for the Magpies prior to the World Cup break - already double his tally from last season.

Six of those strikes came in October, with Almiron already scooping the Premier League Player of the Month and Goal of the Month awards.

He has now completed a clean sweep having been voted the Fans' Player of the Month.

Almiron opened October with a sensational brace at Fulham, before putting their west London rivals Brentford to the sword a week later with another goal.

A credible 0-0 draw away at Manchester United followed, before Almiron rounded off the month with impressive goals in wins against Everton, Tottenham and Aston Villa.

Almiron's triumph brings Erling Haaland's hold over the award to the end. The Norwegian won August and September's awards, while he was voted second to the Paraguayan in October.

Manchester City playmaker Kevin De Bruyne finished third in voting, with Brighton forward Leandro Trossard just behind in fourth.

Newcastle midfielder Bruno Guimaraes and Arsenal star Granit Xhaka came fifth and sixth respectively.
