Taylor And Butt Must Get It Sorted!

Taylor has that frightening habit of going into tackles in the penalty area with his hands spread out by his side, and it has cost us precious points in previous seasons.

But does he learn?

Again on Saturday he brought the ball down with his arm, but we were lucky to get away with it.

However, Nicky Butt's trip on the edge of the box gifted another two points to the opposition ... and he cannot say he hasn't done it many times before.

His first season at the club he was notorious for it! So much so the club loaned him to Birmingham.

Butt is as gutted as the fans, but he believes the players cannot afford to wallow in "feeling sorry for ourselves".

Butt: "There is bound to be a hangover.

"In a derby everyone's pride is at stake. It hurts everyone - the players, the manager, the coaching staff. If we keep sulking and keep thinking about it, that hangover can go on for a long time. Having a game come so quickly is a big plus.

"They started a lot better than us. We got back into game and started playing good football. We look good going forward but we got hit by a sucker punch at the end."

"We are part of that (relegation) battle at the minute.

"A couple of wins on the bounce and we can get out of it. We need to get some consistency and start playing as we should. Every game now is a must-win. We are at the bottom. The longer you are in there, the more desperate you get."
