Chris Hughton has paid tribute to the unsung heroes at Newcastle United – the club's ground staff.
Head groundsman Mick Curran and his team have been working overtime since the weather turned last week.
Hughton: "We've been affected more than most, I'd say, because of the sheer volume of snow that we've had up here.
"But in the last couple of days, we've been able to do a bit of outdoor training.
"The indoor facility has also been used, but the staff here do a great job of making sure we have an outdoor surface to use too.
"The staff have been extra special. They generally work incredibly hard anyway, no matter what the weather, they've been a great help.
"They can't do enough to help us, and myself and the lads owe them a big thank you."
