Rio Ferdinand - Wasn't He Banned For Missing A Drugs Test?

Last updated : 06 February 2010 By Footy Mad - Editor

Apparently ... Capello claims that a player shagging the former girlfriend of a team-mate is unacceptable ... but being banned for eight months for missing a drugs test is just what youngsters can look up to.

Terry is the best we have ... the best leader, the best defender, and twice the player Ferdinand is!

So, something that has NOTHING to do with football is once again handled badly by the FA.

So Ferdinand will lead England into battle in the World Cup opener against the United States in Rustenburg on June 12 and, should they progress that far, the final in Johannesburg on July 11.

Capello: "As a captain with the team, John Terry has displayed extremely positive behaviour.

"However, I have to take into account other considerations and what is best for all of the England squad.

"After much thought I have made the decision that it will be best for me to take the captaincy away from John Terry.

"What is best for all of the England team has inspired my choice and John Terry was notified first."
