Redknapp Back On The Market - Should Ashley Make Move?

Last updated : 02 June 2013 By Footy Mad - Editor

fHe was quoted at short odds a week ago to replace David Moyes, who is now in the Manchester United hot seat.

If he is looking for a Premiership club - and Mike Ashley has long been a fan of the former Spurs boss - should we strike now the iron is hot?

Redknapp cannot be ruled out at this late stage, with Kenwright ready to announce the new Goodison manager tomorrow, but what if the Toffees (as expected) take on Martinez?

We could do a hell of a lot worse than bring the QPR boss to Tyneside.

Redknapp would tick all the boxes for the Magpies, certainly more than the current boss, and now would be the time to make the change.

As it stands, with Pardew hanging by his knackers and Ashley waiting for a poor start to the season before swinging the axe ... wouldn't it make a lot more sense to make changes NOW?

Then the new boss could have pre-season to prepare.
