Birmingham City boss Lee Clark says it is time for a good performance at St Andrew's for the fans

Attentions turn to St Andrew’s and Blues’ home hoodoo on Saturday.

And Lee Clark is desperate for his side to put on a resounding, winning show for the faithful.

Blues are the Championship’s form team, based on the last eight matches.

But that is primarily down to their efficiency away from home.

They recorded a fifth win in eight matches on the road at Bristol City on Tuesday. And the only loss in that spell was the self-implosion at Hull City, where they went a goal down after just 39 seconds.

But at St Andrew’s it’s a different story.

Blues have only registered six victories there all season and are ranked 23rd in the Championship at home, totalling just 26 points.

Leeds United visit Blues this weekend and short of ordering them to get changed in the away dressing room, Clark is determined that his team provide home cheer and comfort.

Lee Clark: “I want three points, a performance, a result.

“The lucky ones this season have been our away fans. We’re a top-six side, away from home.

“Had we replicated that sort of form at home, not even drastically, minimally, we’d have a right good chance.

“You just look at the five points we dropped in the last two games at St Andrew’s against Wolves – a game we should have won, despite going 3-0 down – and Millwall. That would have put us right in the mix.

“I’m desperate for us to put on a good show for our fans at St Andrew’s. They deserve it.

“It’s not as if we can’t. We have shown the quality we do have since before Christmas.

“I want a really big effort at St Andrew’s because there are a lot of positives to take from the second half of our season.”
