Alan Pardew: “I think this is an award where if you win it then it’s obviously very nice for the individual and even Sir Alex has missed out on it a few times when he’s won the league.
“Brendan Rogers has done really well at Swansea.
"Roberto Martinez has done marvelously down at Wigan on the budget he has. We are not all blessed with the talent Alex has.
“So that award will hopefully go to the person who deserves on merit with regards to what he’s had to work with.”
