Alan Pardew: “They got it completely wrong – the guy was injured.
“This is somebody who has cleared more off the goal-line than anybody else in the Premier League.
“That suggests to me that he’s in the right place at the right time.
"If you’re injured, what can you do?
“To actually get some criticism for it was disgraceful really. The people who did it should know better.
“Danny’s been a great player for us and we wouldn’t be sixth in the division without him – no chance.”
