Alan Pardew: “We look like we need a bit of improvement at the top of the pitch.
"We have Remy in and unfortunately he’s injured, so that’s still an area we need to improve on.
“I think there is a lot of players still to move in this window. I think we will be involved in that.
“There are some big transfers that have been mooted that haven’t happened yet and whether they happen or not will have an affect on other events.
“Whether there is a lot of action, well I would be surprised. Players are on international duty and I don’t think there will be too many transfers this week."
