Newcastle boss Sam Allardyce is unlikely to have any of his recent injury victims back for Saturday's Premier League clash with Birmingham.

Abdoulaye Faye (calf), Stephen Carr (hamstring) and Claudio Cacapa (knee) are still recovering, while Michael Owen continues his rehabilitation from a thigh problem.

Damien Duff's return from a foot injury was put on hold on Thursday night when the reserves' game at Manchester United was washed out, while Peter Ramage (knee) is back in light training.
