NUFC were amongst a number of Premiership clubs who sent representatives to watch Stoke take on Norwich City this afternoon - with Liverpool assistant manager Phil Thompson amongst them. Everton also had a scout there.

Commons has impressed Stoke fans this season after graduating through the Academy at the Brittania Stadium.

He picked the right time to score his first ever league goal today, taking the ball past two players before slotting the ball into the bottom corner to eanr his side a point.

Playing out on the wing, he is described as pacey, great at crossing and with a dangerous long throw.

Stoke fans wouldn't be too happy if he is sold so early in his career, and we're lead to believe that it would take a bid in escess of £2million to prise him away from the midlands.
