According to reports from Merseyside, Newcastle look set to sign midfielder Danny Guthrie after they agreed a fee with Liverpool.
Guthrie spent the whole of last season on loan with Bolton Wanderers, but the Trotters have turned down the option of a permanent deal and he is now poised to sign for Newcastle.
