Sam Allardyce was quizzed at a press conference and gave it the contempt it deserved, and I still find it amazing how Newcastle chairman Chris Mort feels the need to address it.
But ... all the same, for those who feel the need to be told ... Mort has rubbished reports that Keegan could be set for a return to the club.
Mort has moved to dismiss the rumours and he also rubbished talk that Alan Shearer was being lined up to become the club's new manager.
Mort: "As far as Kevin Keegan is concerned I have never talked to him and I have no intention of. And there is no truth in reports that we are looking to bring in Alan Shearer as manager."
