It's sad how we have dropped from the times Sir Bobby took us into Europe with pride ... and now we have a manager who said in May: "Thank God we have not qualified for Europe!"

Alan Pardew: “He’s somebody we all aspire to - no matter what field of life you are in.
“I particularly aspire to him as a football manager. Words really don’t do it justice in many ways.
“But it would be nice to honour him on a special day.
“I’m looking forward to us putting in a display that he would be proud of,” said Pardew.
