Banker Keith Harris claims the new owner is "almost certain to be from overseas" and he warned the Toon supporters there is no indication from any interested investors that the former manager is in their plans.

Mr Harris said: "Whoever is the new owner, it would be their choice of management team on and off the field."

But ... whoever DOES win the battle, I'm sure they have done enough research to understand the reason why Mike Ashley put the club up for sale.

And Kevin Keegan's walk out was high up the list of reasons.

The problem is Keegan's compensation claim, which does not sit well with potential buyers.

The former Toon boss insists he is going ahead with the law suit, and that is a major problem.
