N'Zogbia has failed to even make the bench in Newcastle's the last five matches, and the Toon boss has washed his hands of the situation.

But the Frenchman, who has made it known he will be leaving the club in the summer, is all dressed up with nowhere to go after his dream move to Tottenham has gone up in smoke.

Spurs paid £15.8m for another left-sided player, Croatian international Luka Modric, and 21-year-old N'Zogbia is out in the cold.

N'Zogbia has kicked his last ball for United and there is even talk of him returning to France, BUT only when KK says so.

Kevin Keegan has told him he can only leave the club when the club decides.

Keegan: "Charles has got to wait for his chance to get back in.

"He's gone out of the side with an injury at a bad time, as the side has kept winning. Alan Smith is the same, as is Damien Duff.

"Smithy was decimated not to get on against Sunderland a fortnight ago, but I explained my decision to him afterwards."
