Viduka had/has a hamstring injury, but after returning to full training last week Keegan set his sights on playing him with Michael Owen.

But, the Australian international pulled out and has yet to make a start for the new manager.

He has only made 13 starts all season since his move from Middlesbrough in the summer, but still KK holds out hope he will be back in action - hopefully against Liverpool.

Keegan:  "The strikers they have would trouble any defence. Mark Viduka has been a miss being injured, and hopefully he will be back for Saturday and give them an extra dimension."
