The Dutch goalkeeper says he was delighted to play a major part in Newcastle's opening game of the season.
Krul won praise from both United caretaker boss Chris Hughton and Albion manager Roberto Di Matteo after the game, as well as from his team-mates.
Krul: "My main thought is about Steve and his head – hopefully it's not as bad as it looked.
"I'm hoping everything is all right.
"The first save was after one minute, I think. It was a great feeling. After that loads happened – it was crazy!"
