The full-back's current deal expires at the end of next season, and he continues to stall on agreeing an extension.

He has been strongly linked with a switch to West Ham and Newcastle in the past, but insists that he has made no decision as yet regarding his future.

But should Reading hit the relegation trap door, Shorey is sure to be on the move.

Shorey: "We have just put it to one side and said that we will talk about it in the summer and that's still the case.

"So we will just get these four games out of the way and then we'll reassess from there.

"It's been one of those seasons and we just need to make sure that we finish it in the right way.

"We can analyse it over the summer and then make sure that we come back next season refreshed and go again, but we need to make sure that we are in the Premier League come the end of the season.

"We are confident that we can go and win all of our remaining games.

"Obviously we have a tough one coming up Saturday (away at Arsenal), but on any given day anyone can beat anyone.

"With the players we've got I think we've got more than a good enough chance."
