Quique Sanchez Flores believes Watford must uphold the integrity of the Barclays Premier League and go all out for victory when they finish their campaign against teams fighting for top-flight survival.
The Hornets boss takes his team to Norwich on Wednesday before completing the campaign at home against Sunderland on Sunday.
Norwich are teetering on the brink of relegation, with victory over Watford essential for their hopes of staying up. However, even that might not be enough as a Sunderland win at home to Everton on the same night would condemn the Canaries.
Flores knows his Watford side could turn out to be the "bad boys" in East Anglia.
"I don't like to play against Norwich and Sunderland because they are fighting against relegation and it's always very sad, but in this case we are the bad boy in the film. This is our role and we need to play it," said the Spaniard at his pre-match press conference.
"It's important for us and it's good for us that we have the necessity to be competitive because I know we are expecting to play against a very tough team, because Norwich need the victory.
"For us it will be important to go to the pitch with the idea to play well, to think about how we can stop Norwich, to play football and to score goals.
"This is our idea because we need to be competitive and to show everyone that we respect the Premier League, so of course it is a serious match for us.
"Our responsibility is to win and to choose the best team. We need to be competitive, we need to respect the other team, and other teams don't need to have any doubts about us because we will use the best players we can."
Despite guiding Watford to safety on their return to the top flight, and in his own maiden Premier League campaign, Flores' position has come under scrutiny and there have been suggestions he may leave at the end of the season following just four league wins in 2016.
Asked about his position, he said: "I am happy here and I am just thinking about the last two matches and trying to get as many points as we can. After that I will go on holiday and spend some time with my family."
