How Long Before We Hear: 'I Want The Crazy Gang Spirit'?

Not the sort of start Kinnear wanted ... but he promised to inject some Crazy Gang spirit into the club's dejected dressing room ... when they turn up for training.

The 61-year-old former Wimbledon boss flew up from London early this morning to begin his spell as interim manager.

However, the club's Benton training ground was deserted.

Kinnear swore on the BBC's Football Focus before the game, telling Manish Bashin that owner Mike Ashley had got the club out of the "s**t" ... and it wasn't the swearing that pissed off the Toon fans.

The last thing we want is another Ashley 'YES-MAN'.

Having made an arse of his time at Nottingham Forest when he was sacked allegedly because his tactics were long out of date ... he has done nothing for the last four years.

So has he the 'modern mentality' to move us forward, now he is working with a squad that is more than half foreigners?

Well ... let's hope he doesn't take us back TWENTY YEARS and say he wants to bring back the Crazy Gang "hit 'em first and ask questions later" mentality!

Kinnear: "I've just got to come in, and give everyone a lift, and get some points on the board.

"I could have taken the easy option and stayed at home (on Saturday), and started on Monday morning, but I wanted to get and get an assessment of what I've got available to me at Newcastle.

"I've got to try and get some crazy gang spirit into the club, and get everyone on the same wavelength. Nothing's going to stop me."

OH BUGGER! HE SAID IT!
