Danny Guthrie: “We had that a few weeks ago against QPR when Mark Hughes came in.

“It always gives them an extra 10%.

“They’re a little bit more enthusiastic and there’s a little bit more buzz about them.

“We’ll have to be careful but we’ve dealt with that this season.

“Personally, I’d have liked the next game to have come at the weekend. You’re still dwelling on the Spurs defeat.

“We could have got some of the fundamentals better.

“Our start was horrendous (conceding twice in the first six minutes). It was always going to be difficult after that.

“But we’ve had a bit of rest, and we’ve got a nice home game to look forward to.”

"We want a good win at home to set the next game up.

“You never want to lose a game, but it’s one we could afford to lose with the points we’ve made up.

“There’s not too much damage done. The scoreline doesn’t look great, but we’ll make up for that.”
