The 21-year-old’s set up a goal in each of the club’s last three games.

Shane Ferguson: “It’s three in three, and to be honest I don’t know what’s going on!

“But seriously, I’ll just keep working hard in training each day, and practising those sort of crosses.

“I want to keep getting better at getting it in the right place.

“Papiss just got there at the right time.

“It makes it so easy when you have Papiss and Shola waiting in there.

“All of the lads were buzzing after the game because we knew we’d played so well.

“It was fantastic, and everybody in the dressing room was buzzing. The football we played was fantastic, and it was a brilliant night to be part of.

“We knew it was going to be a tough game, but we came through with flying colours – Bordeaux are a very good side.

“Hopefully, I’ll be involved again – I’d love to get that chance against Man United.

“It would be a dream come true for me, and something I have dreamed about from a young age.

“The atmosphere was brilliant, and it will be again on Sunday.

“It was a good experience and now we’ll look to build on this against Man United.”
