He tried his luck in Scotland with certain success, but thought the move to Portman Road would be the launch-pad for promotion back to the Premiership. But he has struggled, and Ipswich have sent him back to Yeovil Town for the rest of the League One campaign, where he was earlier this season. The Glovers are pushing for promotion, and they are delighted to have him back.

Russell Slade (Yeovil): "It's good to have Martin back at the club," Slade told the club's official website.

"He played an important role in the squad when he was here before, and having him back will give us some good width on the right.

"He will gives us more options, and that will be vital as we now move to a critical period of the season."
