Everton To Pip Toon For Baines?

The Latics have given permission to Baines to talk to both clubs after they accepted undisclosed bids from their Premiership rivals, according to Sky Sports.

Baines has attracted the interest of a host of clubs and he knocked back a move to Sunderland last month.

Newcastle boss Sam Allardyce admitted on Friday that he could make a move for Baines as he looks to reshape his defensive options at St James' Park.
