Dyer injury not serious - Team news for Saturday

Rested?
Dyer is keen to play, but may be rested with the vital Champions League game with Juventus on Wednesday.

Hugo Viana and Jermaine Jenas, both fresh from representative action, will compete for the midfield place if Dyer is ruled out. Away from home the more combative Jenas will be favourite to start.

All our full internationals in action on Wednesday have reported back injury free, so our only other doubt is Andy O'Brien who has a hamstring strain. Titus Bramble looks set to start after impressing for England Under-21s.

Carl Cort is available for selection again but is unlikely to make the bench after both Ameobi and Lua Lua scored on international duty. Its about time Michael Chopra started getting a look in though, especially after his reserve team hat-trick on Monday.

Craig Bellamy will undoubtedly be full of confidence after his performance for Wales against Italyand I can't wait to see Henning Berg or Craig Short try and cope with his pace.

Blackburn have more injury worries though with Damien Duff, David Dunn and Dwight Yorke all extremely doubtful. Lets hope they all fail fitness tests.
Out, hopefully

Matt Jansen is available again for Rovers, but is unlikely to be risked with only one reserve game under his belt since May, so we're likely to be facing an attack of Andy Cole and Egil Ostenstad.

One man to watch out for on their side is David Thompson, the livewire midfielder recently called into the England squad. Don't let him shoot boys.

Really should be a victory if we play well.
