Can Keegan Stop Enrique's Return To The Sun?

We have already had Marcelino produce a three-year sick note because he didn't like the rain and snow and the physical side of the Premiership.

And how can we forget Albert Luque? He returned from a fictitious injury to be drafted into the Reserve side to play against the Mackems.

The NU-Mad lads even set up a book to see how long he would last. 1 minute up to 15 minutes.

The first time he was tackled (8 mins), and I don't believe he was even TOUCHED, he fell like a bag of spuds and called for the stretcher.

Spaniards don't settle well at Newcastle, let's face it. And when Jose Enrique walked through the door many of us said "here we go again".

But ... Toon boss Kevin Keegan says the fullback has a long-term future at the club.

Keegan: "I think he's a good player - I know he's a good player - and I like him.

"His training's really good, his attitude is good. You can see he's determined.

"But the Premiership is a tough place to come and straight away make an impact in a side at 22 years of age. He's still getting settled.

"There's so much to manage - the moving, the size of the club, the understanding of the area, family, weather.

"At some clubs, these players are fetched in and you don't see them for six months. At Newcastle they have to play.

"I like him a lot. I think he's got a lot going for him."
