Bramble left Newcastle last summer and was signed by then Wigan manager Chris Hutchings, who is now Jewells assistant at Derby.Bramble, dubbed "the player who gets the manager the sack", has quite a track record.
Every manager who has backed the "unpredictable" defender has lost his job.
Sir Bobby Robson bought him from Ipswich and said "I hope I'm still at St James' Park when he develops into a world class defender"; Graeme Souness said "one day he will play for England"; Glenn Roeder and Hutchings followed them out the door.
