Danny Guthrie: “It’s been an eye-opener, but it’s something we adapted to quickly.

“We’re the big fish in this league, and we have to handle the expectations of that.

"The fans have high expectations, and so they should. The players know what’s required.

“When we don’t play so well, the fans are wanting more from us, which is only right.

“It sounds stupid, but going to the so-called little clubs with the little stadiums is a hard slog.

“We’re expected to win every game, and that’s just not going to happen – these are tough games.

“We’ve not been used to the style of play in some of the games, and we’ve had to dig results out in an ugly way. Not every game’s going to be a comfy win.

“It looks good, but it’s still a long road.

“There are a few away games which we’ll hope to win. We want to win every game, especially at home as we’re so strong there.”
