Barclays Gets Warning From Toon Army!

However ....  Moat is claiming Newcastle United is a special case because of the large fan base and the club is capable of drawing 40,000+ crowds all season.

But Barclays (I knew I shouldn't have banked with the buggers) say the Toon Army's loyalty makes no difference.

One gentleman on our message board says "kick them into touch" if they won't help us in our hour of need.

"So, if we end up stuck with Ashley because Barclays won't help Moat out why doesn't every Newcastle fan with either a Barclays bank account or Barclaycard move their money elsewhere and close their accounts.

"Maybe up to 10,000 people could use Barclays, this would show them the that we can make a difference!

"Hopefully it won't come to this, but my Barclaycard is getting cancelled if they don't play ball."

Well if its true someone at Barklays is in the wrong....isn't it illeagal to be discussing someones overdraft with all and sundry.

I'm not taking any notice of these reports...I've waited over a year to see the back of fat Ash and its less than a week now before we know our fate...I reckon we'll be in the hands of knew owners this time next week.

I've been wanting to close my Barclays account ever since I graduated, mainly because they supported the Apartheid in South Africa. However, no-one else will take on my overdraft (£2,300) because they don't think it's a workable amount for a fan of a CCC team. Or something like that. Nightmare.
