Toon owner Mike Ashley is set to buy a stake in Rangers, enabling them to borrow his Tyneside stars

The falled stars of Chilly-Jocko football are playing against the likes of Berwick Rangers this season and even Peterhead proved difficult for them yesterday!

Rangers now play in the fourth tier of Scottish football and could only draw 2-2 yesterday.

But reinforcements could be on their way in the form of up to nine Newcastle United players.

The Daily Record reports today Ashley is set to buy a stake in Rangers, enabling them to borrow his Tyneside stars.

The loans would have to go through by the end of the month, when Rangers’ transfer embargo comes into force, provided the SFA ratifies Ashley’s move.

It is expected to do so, on the condition Ashley buys no more than 10 per cent of Rangers and plays no part in the running of the club.

What Alan Pardew thinks about it - God only knows.

Pardew said loaning Fraser Forster to Celtic for the last two seasons was a "waste of time, because the quality in the Scottish Premiership is very poor."

What about the FOURTH TIER of Jocko football?
