Ashley Couldn't Sell The Club For £100m - £250m Ain't Gona Happen!

There has been talk this week about wrestling promoters and the like buying the club, playing Premiership games in the States, and holding wrestling matches at half-time.

You know yourself ... it's utter bollox. A Yank talking the talk but refusing to walk the walk.

Ashley is in a position where no-one wants to buy the club, and the gloom and runrest around Gallowgate is hardly going to help.

The owner DID try and sell the club for a cit-price £100m, but now the club is valued at £168m ... and now he wants £250m!

Deal or no deal: Well Ashley (according to the media) is willing to talk about selling up, but only if the price is right. And that price isn't appealing to anyone!

The under-fire owner will ride out the storm at Newcastle United – but how long can he take the abuse, because it cannot be good for his company seeing his name dragged through the dirt every week?

Sunday People Sport understands the Toon supremo plans a huge shake-up at St James’ Park in the summer.

The Magpies go into Sunday's visit of Aston Villa on the back of four league defeats on the bounce at home – with no goals scored.

But Ashley plans to keep faith with under-pressure manager Alan Pardew – and will instead strengthen behind the scenes.

The Toon owner knows he needs to act decisively after Joe Kinnear’s disastrous spell as director of football.

However, it is understood that is unlikely to see a return of former managing director Derek Llambias.

Despite the sale of Yohan Cabaye for £19m, it has been said today that Pardew will have to sell AGAIN to spend.

Personally I'd rather someone else did the selling and buying rather than Pardew.
