Another double squad announcement

It looks like the first choice team will face the Germans with the squad players on show at the KC Stadium, hence the presence of the regular substitutes in both squads.

The conspiracy theorists among you may want to read something into the inclusion of Titus Bramble to face Bayern and Steve Caldwell to face Hull City, with Andy O’Brien in both squads. Also Lee Bowyer, Kieron Dyer and Laurent Robert are only down to face the Germans with Nobby Solano, Hugo Viana and Jermaine Jenas in both squads.

Incidentally Bayern Munich began their Bundesliga campaign in style on Friday with a 3-1 win over Eintracht Frankfurt, thanks to first-half goals from Ze Roberto, Hasan Salihamidzic and Claudio Pizarro.

Squad to face Hull City: Ameobi, Caig, G Caldwell, S Caldwell, Chopra, Cort, Elliott, Harper, Hughes, Jenas, Kerr, LuaLua, McClen, Alan O'Brien, Andy O'Brien, Solano, Taylor, Viana, Zola-Makongo.

Squad to face Bayern Munich: Ameobi, Bellamy, Bernard, Bowyer, Bramble, Dyer, Given, Griffin, Harper, Hughes, Jenas, Andy O'Brien, Robert, Shearer, Solano, Speed, Woodgate, Viana.
